Act in a loving manner. Feelings of love will flow from actions of love later.

If I am depressed, tired, or otherwise not feeling well, and just generally not in a loving mood, I don't try to act like it, or then I just wind up feeling like I'm insincere. If I can get some rest, then I go get some rest so maybe later I will be up to it. If I have to go to work and deal with people all day, even though I am not in a loving mood, I generally wind up acting a bit more subdued, but, I also look for good things in those around me, and eventually I can often pull out of that mood, and begin to feel a more loving mood in interacting with others, and having to think about thier needs for awhile through my work, after awhile it can cheer me up to be around people, and I start to feel more loving. I guess what I am trying to say is if I am not in a loving mood, I can still appreciate people, I just might not be in a mood to be all warm and fuzzy about it, but it might still get better after awhile when I have been interacting with others ....

Love isn't always about a feeling. Ask anyone who has been married for any period of time: at some point, the feelings will fade. Love is more about a commitment, an action, and a true desire to care for another person. Feelings will come and go.

Digilook, there's two passages in the Bible. One is the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you'd have them...... The other is "Love your neighbor as yourself". Lot of people tell you they are the same thing? I think that's crap. I think the real Jesus, probably expoused the first one, not the second. If you ain't in a "loving" mood, you ain't in a "loving" mood. Not right now. What's wrong with that? Your looking for some secret, magical formula. I doubt we're made like that? Why not catch a movie, or clip your toenails?

Namaste!! I love India!!

If I don't feel loving, I often try to be silent and relax. Sometimes getting away from a situation is a good idea. If we really love someone or something, we cannot vent and loose control toward them and expect love to be given back in return which is what we may need in such a time.

If you don't feel the love at the moment, then that's fine. Ask God to help you. He will love you and i will love you too! We are human, we are not supper human, we sometime feel love and at other times want to kick the, well you know..., but it's OK, we are allowed to feel negative emotions at times. Why, Cos in those moments God can work wonders with us.
Don't worry!

by acting in a way that promotes love anyway
this is like a single mother working 3 jobs because she loves her children. i bet most of the time she's feeling tired, frustrated and just about ready to give up - but she does it anyway, because she loves her kids, even tho all she might be feeling is "Godddd it's only another 10 more years!"
actions speak louder than words; we don't have to feel to do what we know is right in the ways of love.

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jer. 17:9

Even if you don't feel loving for a moment, it doesn't mean that you aren't. The heart is the worst thing to trust in. But rather trust in God.
