A PC will use up to 250-300 watts, less on standby, but taking the worst case, 12(hours) X 300 (watts) = 3600 watt hours or 3.6 kWh @ about 12p per KW. Total cost MAX. 43p for 12 hrs. In reality probably about 10-12p.

Light? what wattage. A 100watt lamp will be 0.1kw x 2hrs = 0.2 kWh @ 12p per kWh. = 2.4p. Other items pro-rata.

I measured all my devices at home and worked out maximum costs and typical costs.

Assuming worse case of 16p/kWHr (it could be 9-12p, depending on your tarrif how much you use.)

My PC consumes 112W. 17" CRT 76W.
Say 200W for 6 hours = 0.2*6*16p = 19.2p per evening, obviously less for better rates.
A 100W light bulb is half that.

If you just leave th PC on, not the screen, its even less, say 25p or less for a whole night. I do it a lot for big downloads.
And what can you buy for 25p???

I'd guess a PC consumes about 200Watts. The cost will depend on your local charges.

PC uses pennies, we pay not more than2/3p per day and have it on about 15hrs. Light will depend on wattage of the bulb but it won`t be alot probably a penny every few hours.
