This is very worrying for a boy like me. What should my diet be? How long should I exercise? I can spare only about 60 - 90 minutes a day for it. What is the best remedy for me? I MUST reduce to at least 120 - 110 pounds before mid - July.

I'm 162 cm tall. I must reduce 30 pounds by mid- July, not in one week. What exercise must I do? If I jog, I get tired in 15 mins and my knees start to pain if I push myself to do 5 extra mins. It's a waste of an hour. Also, how many calories must I consume? How many calories does walking consume if I do it for an hour twice everyday? (that makes 2 hours)

Hi!
30 pounds in a little over a month is too much weight loss to fast. You will make yourself sick and possibly cause metabolism problems later. I know because i lost a great amount of weight quickly at 16. Killed my metabolism and have struggled with my weight ever since.
A healthy eating plan would be to eat 6 small healthy meals a day, about every 2 hours. Set a cut off time for your last meal say 6 or 7 oclock. Keep a good balance of healthy foods. Cut out the carbonated drinks all together.
For exercise if you have 60 minutes a day you have an abundance of time. FInd somethings you like to do and switch it up. GO bike riding one day for an hour, lift weights, walk, jog, aerobics, swim, mow the grass, clean out the garage, anything...........You will see major differences quickly and not endanger your health.

Well, it's more a question of eating right, exercising and seeing what the results are. Are those things that you want to do only if you can lose 30 pounds by mid-July? Or will you still want to weigh less and be healthier after July passes? See if you can think about it long term and your goals will be more realistic.
Recommended healthy weight loss usually turns out to be 2 pounds per week, but that's no reason not to start taking better care of yourself. 60-90 minutes a day would make an excellent workout.
Fitness has three components:
CARDIO: Get moving by walking, running, swimming, or doing any activity that will raise your heart rate for an extended period of time. Start slowly and increase the time, intensity and duration of your cardio activity over several weeks. For you, I'd recommend focusing on cardio to begin. 20 minutes daily for the first few weeks. When that starts to feel easy, increase the duration and intensity. Work to get into a rhythm with it. Go for consistency, doing some kind of cardio nearly every day.
STRETCHING, to lenghthen the muscles, especially after cardio
STRENGTH TRAINING, do sit ups and push ups until your muscles are a little tired. It won't take too long in the beginning.
Best of luck! You'll find your energy increases as you start to take better care of yourself.
