Did god discriminate against the black in the past when there were seperate churches for differently coloured people? Why did this happen? did god or pope teach us to discriminate then? What led to the discrimination? Why different churches?

No, you're thinking of man!

God never discriminates and as Acts 10:34,35 says "God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness, is acceptable to Him."

Discrimination based upon colour or creed is done by man not God.

Man has never been able to agree on everything, so different churches evolved through different interpretations of the Holy Bible.

Hope this helps you.

Big Bird, like everybody tells you, the discrimination is all man made, not from a God. I was raised a Catholic in Texas. What always blew my mind down here in the south was the Southern Baptist Church. They are blending the races a little these days. When I was young you had black congregations and white congregations. I thought it was odd to have the adjective "southern" on the name of your church? There was a scism in the Baptist Church here in America just prior to the Civil War. The "Southerns" allowed slavery. Still confounds me to this day, why people like MLK and others still subscribe to this stuff? If I were black and wanted to be Christian, seems like I'd find another organization? Basically you are what your mother endoctrinated you as. I guess?

God doesn't discriminate. The pope does sometimes. People discriminate. There are different churches because different people have a different take on Christianity and like to stay with their own views. People are limited in their perception. God isn't. People believe things. God doesn't believe anything.

I dont think god discriminates according to race only according to behavior.
there were different places of worship for different races because people dont live up to their religions. How many times have you encountered people who says they go to church but they dont do what they believe in?
Or how many times people make up their own churches because its not in their liking what the teachings really said?
Bigotry is there unfortunately.
Just see the case of the holy inquisition. Jesus didnt say go and kill people who dont believe in me. He did say however love thine enemy and put the other cheek if someone strikes you in one.

That was a prophecy of what would happen today, not forced but voluntary.

Most blacks have a style of worship that most whites find irritating and irreverent. Most whites have a style of worship that most blacks find dreary, formal, and lifeless.

The solution? Have separate churches (even wiithin the same denomination). To each his own.

Elvis Presley was a white boy who used black religious style of music to give birth to 'Rock & Roll'.

Color discrimination is "man's" doing, not God's... Think about it.. who decided that the image of Jesus was a white dude with long soft flowing light brown golden locks with green eyes?... Jesus was of middle eastern decent, and probably looked like any other there, dark thick curly hair, dark skin, black eyes, etc etc.

Black people were, and still are by some, considered descendants of Ham.

This and the bible's pro-slavery stance is why we had slavery in America.
