Recently my cat knocked a glass off a table and it broke. Later, when it was playing with me, it play bit me and i noticed there was some small amount of blood coming from its mouth. I guessed this was probably related to the glass breaking, and worried that the cat might have even a peice of glass or something. The cat still acts energetic and all. Is this something I should be very worried about? if the cat did eat some small peice of glass, would it probably just pass it succesfully?

I doubt it's eaten glass, because that would have cut it's throat and would now be busy cutting up it's stomach and intestines. It would not be able to pass the glass without lacerating it's rectum, which would lead to infection and be very serious.
I think you cat probably cut its lip on the glass - hope you've cleared it up properly! If your cat starts showing ANY weird signs, like being lethargic, vomiting or having diarrhoea or not eating then do not hesitate to take her to an emergency vet. Cats are capable of swallowing needles I can tell you, and this is bad.

I doubt that the cat ate the glass perhaps there was a shred of glass left on the floor after the cleanup and that is what caused the bleeding in the mouth, if she has glass in her insides im sure you would know she would not be acting right since the glass would probably cut her insides up

I'd check the mouth as thoroughly as you can to be sure there is no glass embedded and to see how much bleeding there is. I doubt the cat would have swallowed a piece of glass, but honestly, it's better to be safe than sorry. I'd call your vet and get their opinion. If the cat has swallowed glass it most likely will not be able to pass it.

Hello,
I work with the Irish SPCA.
You should bring your cat to a vet immediately...The glass may be passed with no harm but that isn't an acceptable risk. The glass may cause incredible damage....
Please take her to a vet NOW!

I would think so since the cat is acting normal. I would just keep an eye on him/her just to make sure. Take him/her to the vet if you get worried.

it may have gotten cut yes but as far as eating glass..i doubt it..cats and other animals are very smart..they know and sense what they shouldnt eat..maybe asliver glew and hit your cat in the mouth cutting it slightly....why not look in your cats mouth and see if you can tell where the blood is comming from...
