that reminds me of a bumper sticker
"pro-life and pro-death? i'm anti-hypocrite, thank you"
there's also one that says "pro-war" instead of "pro-death"

Personally, I'm pro-choice but against the death penalty, so I suppose I'm breakin' all the molds!
I'll tell you why though, which is more than we can say for most right-to-lifers. A fetus is a fetus. A non-human. A woman should not be made to suffer because of a mistake, and if she so chooses to have an abortion, that's her right - it's her body, after all.
The death penalty, on the other hand, is not foolproof. For anyone who's seen "The Life of David Gale," you know what I mean. Unless DNA evidence proves person guilty, he should not be subjected to the death penalty - that's why I'm against it - because too many innocent people could potentially be subject to execution, simply because our system of trial is flawed.

Definitely not. Among the strongest opponents of the death penalty is the Catholic Church. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has its own campaign against it. Take a look at
http://www.usccb.org/sdwp/national/deathpenalty/.
In addition to the moral arguments against the death penalty, the website also provide information about the practical problems with the capital punishment system.

The Roman Catholic Church opposes both abortion and the death penalty.
I am not Roman Catholic. I oppose abortion and I support the death penalty. There is not conflict here.
I think it intellectually dishonest on the part of some to accuse hypocrisy on such a stand. They are intelligent enough to understand the argument and what is being said, yet they often pretend to lack the faculty to process the information. If one is to argue against the death penalty then do so, yet do so with integrity.

Yes "right to life" people do believe in the death penalty. The theory is that all life has intrinsic value. Once life starts it has a right to live. But should that life take another's right to live it owes society its life as a murderer has stolen the life from someone else. The governing body is forced to exact that debt from any murderer who refuses to volunteer their life. In a perfect society someone who murders would not be killed but would be stripped of all rights and be used as forced labor but in modern society its not a feasable punishment.

The Death Penalty prevents a convicted murderer from ever murdering again. It was clearly taught in the Old Testament.

No, not all of them do. Some do, perhaps many, but not all.
Personally, while I don't like the death penalty, I believe that those who murder others have already forfeited their right to live.

No.
Some agree with G Gordon Liddy who says, in essence, put the hardened criminals (murders, hijackers, skyjackers, rapists) on a Devil's Island, surrounded by sharks and drop food items daily from helicopters. They could kill each other if they choose.

Isn't this comparing apples to oranges?
"Right-to-Life" deals with the unborn, innocent, child (yes, I now that a 7-month-old fetus may not be a child LEGALLY).
The Death Penalty deals with convicted, hardened criminals who have committed heinous crimes against society.
I cannot speak for all 'right to life'ers, but I know that the two concepts are not exclusive. I accept both.

we fairly dont have administration over who's existence is tooken by way of justice gadget. The bible says sin leads to demise notwithstanding it also says that murderers will face judgement.consequently pending on the concern perchance it really is proper to make amends for homicide with the help of dropping your own existence. That doesnt propose that you will be forever condemned.those adult men on demise row stay there for awhile and performance a danger to repent and search for forgiveness i might want to anticipate. God is conscious in the experience that they are extremely sorry for what they have executed.contained in the former testomony God condemned a prophet to die because he did not kill the guy God instructed him to and he enable him stay.Do you imagine a prophet of God might want to be forever condemned? No yet he had to make amends for his disobedience to God with is existence.Shouldnt that be an identical for someone who steals away God's present of existence from the danger free? The bible also says a watch for a watch and a teeth for a teeth.which potential what is going round comes round. "If a guy shed the blood of a guy, with the help of guy shall his blood be shed" draw close Puppet fortunately adequate God is more advantageous forgiving than guy wishing that none perish yet all come to the know-how of the truth.Rape is a nasty crime yet God cant in basic terms kill each and each of the rapist with out giving them yet another danger.if so he might want to might want to kill the stealers and one yet another sin he named.Even a assassin receives a 2d danger notwithstanding it relies upon on God.homicide even with the reality that is a intense crime because it screws up God's plans for that man or woman who become murdered.sometime the punishment is demise and some individuals are giving yet another danger to stay.notwithstanding they're going to struggle through very much for that sin mutually with David did.
