I cannot move forward for constant fear of doing something wrong. And even when I know it's wrong i still cave in and do it, then feel dreaful after I have sinned.

The condition you have described is known as scrupulosity, in other words you are being unduly hard on yourself.
It is strange too that those who have re-converted to the faith suddenly find themselves in the position of still commiting sin but unlike before they are very aware and sensitive to their sins; as a friend of mine once said;`Even though I have come back to my life of faith I still commit sin but it`s no fun anymore`
The remedy for this condition of scruples is to find a spiritual director who can guide you or if this is not feasible then you should trust more in the mercy of the Lord and rely on His strenght and not your own, when you repent of your sins and are sincere then you have done your best and you must leave it at that, and don`t forget the evil one loves to torture the mind with doubt, remember this when Christ forgives our sins He also forgets them as if they never happened.
When fear is involved with our faith it does indeed hinder any progress and so we have to be humble and trusting in the Lord especially in times of self doubt and anxiety.
Finally when we sin and repent we should adopt a firm firm position of amendment or intent not to commit sin again and it is this along with our sorrow for offending God that makes our repentance perfect, but equally we must never dwell on our sins as the devil uses this against us.

The church have carefully chosen a list of quite human traits and labelled them as 'sins'. The point is that you cannot avoid sinning and that's how they keep you under their control - by persuading you that you need them in order to be what you cannot possibly be ( a perfect human ).
If you are doing the best you can and trying to not hurt others then you are managing a sh1t-sight better than most.

the struggle is the flesh verses the spirit.
...
read romans chapters 6 through 8 and galatians 5 and 1 john 1:9, 2:1
search for every scripture that gives a clue on how to resist temptation.
if you are serious about stopping... consider taking the effort to show your determination.
i know in my situation its what i had to do.
...
1 john 1:9, 2:1 is for after you succomb to the lust of the flesh.
but the other scriptures are to give you "a leg up" on establishing some new patterns that please God.
...
applying scripture to your life situation... is the way that Jesus descibed when he talked about the sower sowing the word.
its possible that you've been apologizing for your weaknesses.... but you havent been putting any seed in the ground to bring a new harvest of behavioral changes.
...
he that comes to God must believe that He is.. and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Look at the cross it is everywhere, it is
a symbol of a perfect sacrifice for all who
believe.
That means all your sins, from now
till we die.Past present and future.
Jesus is the greatest gift to all mankind.
Hebrews 8:12, For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Jesus forgives us, and its hard to forgive
ourselves.
The interesting thing about one forgiving
ones self is understanding the sin so we
wont do it no more.
And sin is like a root and we are at the end
of it digging it up till we get to the plant.
Sin is like that we got to find the right plant
to pull out of our hearts garden so to speak
and burn it, its hard to find the plant but it
can be found and sometimes very painful
as its intertwined around plants that makes us happy.
Hope this helps.

Temptation loses it's power when we are full. Being full means satisfied. The christian church teaches us that it is wrong to think of ourselves, that we are to put others ahead of ourselves. The Holy Spirit wants you to be satisfied, not deprived. Only when you are full will you have to give to others. Simply ask The Spirit of truth to show you the underlying needs in your life that are going unsatisfied. She will guide you to the best way to meet those needs. The fear and frustration you are experiencing are not necessary nor do they benefit anyone.

only the Holy Spirit and God's Word can help you. try picking up ur Bible when you feel the urge to sin and read some verses like sin has no power over you...you are more than a conqueror, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus etc. that should make ur spirit stronger than the flesh. all d best

Lol, if only we all knew the answer to this qeustion. it is good that you constantly do not want to sin and are afraid of sin. But no matter how hard we try, all humans are fallible and stained with the mark of sin. If you can accpet this, it will be easier for you to confess your sins. By being afraid of sin, you are becoming better at avoiding of it.

Therapy helps. Sounds like you're another poor soul that has been bullied by the fundies into paranoia. Oh, and just because you're seeing a therapist doesn't make you a psychopath.
You think I'm kidding. I'm not.

Pfft...what's the point in living such a restricted life for a god that doesn't even exist? Go nuts and live life to the full, we'll all die the same anyway.
