First, we have religon, several books, all claimed to be written by the "Creator of the Universe" yet still contain barbaric principles, and laws, and no reconciliation.

We now approch a time of 21st century technology, and 15th century ideology. Can we as a species possibly survive this?

Should we escape doom, what is the future for humanity? I don't think any religon has a proper prediction for that. But, my true question is,

What will emerge that will prevent us from destroying ourselves?

By gods hand? Whose god? Yours? Theirs? Mine? Someone elses?

To properly "interpret" gods will, we can only go through scripture? Whose Scripture? Christians? Muslims? Jews? Buddists?

How can we possibly claim we KNOW "Gods Will"

I feel that is what will be our ultimate destruction...

So Jaime, you're just some liberal, spiritual junkie, thinking an invisible being in the sky is guiding us?

You've done nothing to help solve the problem, just simply given up on it. If god does exist, his or her words, should be written somewhere? If not, you're just making crap up...

Thats exactly what you're doing, taking your own spirituality, and trying to convince others it is worth something, with no evidence, and no logic...

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God they fell from the protection of His holy grace and their nature became tainted by sin,we too have inherited this fallen nature and ever since it has also been in our nature to destroy ourselves, which we will manage to do one day soon if God Himself does not intervene in the person of Christ.

Basically, this is a primordial question. Cannot be answered with what we called as "so close to reality" but in my own beliefs, religions, Gods are simply the guiding light which inspires us to live as greatly as we could in this life of ours on earth.

Your God, or my God, even their God could be the God that would save us. But our salvation remains in ourselves whether we could be worthy or not.

Salvation generally is a choice. If you want to be saved then, do appropriate things that you think you can be saved. If not, well, don't bother to do so.

God, religion, end of the world or judgment day are the things that we should consider while living. Again its the guiding light that would help us choose that paths that we want to go.

Whoa Dude, relax. You're going to have an aneurysm worrying about the "fate of humanity" and that won't help anybody.

Fretting about impending doom (we're all gonna die some day) is just going to make the life you have seem pointless. All any of us can do is live the best we can and hope for the best.
