If your technique comes out easily, if you are able to attack, defend, evade, and know what to do in general easily, then you are a natural born fighter.
If you are one, and you train hard, you'd be a force to be reckon with.

I don't know if it something you are born with or if the desire to compete against another human being is something that develops over time through childhood experiences.
Speaking for myself, early on in my life I was extremely afraid of pain. I didn't do well in team sports, but boxing captured my interest early, probably around the age of 8 or 10. My athletic ability came late, at about the age of 19. Something in me changed and I began to crave challenges that were extreme in nature. I discovered that fighting was something I was good at and the way I discovered that talent was by taking a risk. I said yes when I was asked to spar.
I think that is the real secret. Many times in life we have opportunities presented to us and we either accept the challenge or we shrink back from it. I've had many opportunities presented to me over the years and have mostly accepted the challenges. The few times I haven't, I have regretted it later.
How do you know if you are good at fighting? Accept the challenge, step into the ring or onto the mat and see what you can do. If you never accept the challenge you'll never know if you've got what it takes.

you dont have to be good at fighting to be a natural born fighter. because anyone can be taught to be a good fighter. you must be born with a Iron fist , and a Iron will. the signs come at childhood , when you see ur the only kid on the playground who refuses to get bullied or are always in the principals office , for being a handful lol. you just know you got , when you got it. It will be obvious from the way you walk , talk , and carry yourself.

You can see from the way someone carries themselves in a fight. To some, fighting comes naturally and they seem to flow and have a rhythm to their movements. Others simply brawl and can look clumsy and uncoordinated.
When someone other than yourself comments on your style and tells you that you look like a natural, that is usually a good measure.

If you have an ugly mug only a mother could love, a bone structure similar to that of an orangutan and a very short fiery temper, then chances are you were born to fight : P

are you saying with or without training?
i knew i could fight by getting into fights.. there's some people who are just naturally tough and can take a beating, then there are some people who just move smoothly and comfortably when it comes to a fight.. i had both so i started training to see where that would take me

What Welsh_da said. Even then you can bet that there is someone just around the corner who will wipe the floor with you without raising a sweat. Nobody is unbeatable; though the World is full of punks who think they are.
