Maybe you wont like this but the only way is to stand up to them. They can only make you listen if you want to listen.
Although I know how difficult this is, I have been in the same situation..
That's why I leffed home.
You have a job, try to leave home and live your life.
Remember, they will keep on treating you like a child if you let them.
Good luck!

If your working two job move the !@#$ out, you should have the money. Don't get me wrong, it sounds like you respect your fokes and don't want to disappoint them. Nevertheless there comes a time in your life when it's time to move out on your own. At the same time to properly answer the question I need to know the two jobs. The lower paying job could be better in the long run, that is if you have better chances for advancement there. I'm not saying that you should not heed you parents (they have a lot more life experience then you) but you have to be true to your self and in the end you must do what you feel is the right thing for you.

As a parent myself,, I think that they just want the best for you and are scared if they don't guide you you will not be OK...I truly believe if they did a good job all along they should have trust that what they have done already should have formed you in to who you are maby you should start looking for a roommate or an apartment.. Show them that you are independent!! Show then you can do it on your own,, Maby they treat you like this because you have let them for so long and now they don't know any other way.. Usually people react to our behaviour.. Good luck

You're 22. It's time to start making some decisions for yourself. If you're still living with your parent's they have the right to a certain level of influence. But really you have to choose. If the one job is that crappy, don't take it. I'm curious why your parents want you to take that second job. Will it teach you a valuable skill? Or does it have more room for growth? Look at these jobs in the long term and make your decision.
And of course, if you have to, look into getting your own place. But don't rush into that either, it's more expensive than you think, I guarantee it.

You are 22 now, and of course have your own right to decide your own future. You may ask your parent some logic why they want you to choose the second one, but ultimately the choice is yours.
You may discuss this matter with your parent like two spaient adult, but the choice is all yours, as the responsibility is also yours.

Just show them how much you love the job and they might let you do that, your parents shouldn't always take over your life they should understand that your old enough to make your own decisions...

ummm, you need to be more grown up about this, you said you are 22 years old. You have every right to tell your parents that you have your jobs for YOUR reasons and they really need to respect that. It's none of their business. Ask them for respect because that is what you need from them. They also need to trust you in what your doing. If they're always wanting you to listen to them in everything you do, ask them for their support, not what THEY want. No, ask for moral support, respect and trust in you. K. Good luck!

I will tell u what i know.
First u should listen to ur parents for 2 reasons because it is their duty to give u advice and ur duty to listen to them and because what i learned is that do not ever underestimate the advice of ur parents(and generally elder ones) because they have lots of experience in life and certainly much more than u.
BUT
eventually IT IS UR DECISION afterall. u can t take choice just because someone told u to do in oreder to not have regrets by saying to ur parents : it's ur fault u forced me to do... and u cant stay doing what ur parents tells u to do,U must be able to take decisions, since ur parents will not be with u all the time and they must know that 2.

I don't get it.
You have two jobs, one pays better than the other, but the other one is going to be your first?
What are you trying to do independently that your parents are keeping you from doing?
