Many times democracy just cant do what it should do, because the main reason is it have divided in many parts and all have their opinion, on another hands president rule is also a example like in USA, PM rule in England and one man power in Pakistan.

I agree with djr@work that it can be good that if one man is good then he can lead, on another hand peter b and iqst2000, yep, India is a good example of democracy and DC is good.

one man rules .. condition if he is a really good human being and not a corrupted one. then the country can be led with one vision without any corruption.

Actually, the best political system is one in which every person contributes according to this ability, and receives benefits according to his needs.
This concept was first detailed in the Bible ( And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. (Acts 2:44-45)

It was later picked up by Karl Marx and used (MISUSED) called communism. The concept was corrupted by the Russians, and others who are known as Communists in today's world. They do not practice true communism, but a version that is more like a dictatorship, ruled by a group, rather than a single person.
The practice of one for all and all for one is often practiced in a family setting, and would result in a utopian world, if practiced throughout all mankind. Don't forget, however, many familys are also mediated by a Dad/Mom or Grandad/Mom who has complete power of veto.
