I think that all children see their fathers as dominant and wish that it would just be them and their mothers so that the children can get away with being the the dominant over their mothers. Mothers can handle their own and often are submissive only to keep the peace - but will get their way in the end...thus the mother subliminally dominant over the father...and the children!

Definitely, father dominates in the family…, as he is the strong person providing security and bread to the family...
Mother holds the home front and dominates her domain wherein dad has also to honor mom's decisions...
Dad followed by mom runs the family...

Father, although my mother is almost as dominant. They are both dominant in different aspects of the household. ect. mum: clothes, diets, scheduals.ect.
dad: study, behaviour, money.ect.
Although dad is the most dominant by far, a little too dominant, but not suffocatingly.
