"Cameron announced on February 26, 2007, that he, along with his director, Simcha Jacobovici, have documented the unearthing of the Talpiot Tomb, which is alleged to be the tomb of Jesus.
Unearthed in 1980 by Israeli construction workers, the names on the tomb are claimed, by Cameron, to correlate with the names of Jesus and several individuals closely associated with him.
Cameron further claims to have DNA tests, archaeological evidence, and Biblical studies to back up his claim.
The documentary, named The Lost Tomb of Jesus, was broadcast on the Discovery Channel on March 4, 2007."

No. And several of the 'experts' that he had on that show backtracked since then.

But I didn't need that in order to discount the 'find'.

Because if Jesus was living with a family and had a son, then the Jewish authorites would have been all over that! They wanted to find his body, so that they would discount this 'new' religion that was taking a lot of their power, infle3nce, and money away from them. They had a lot invested in their control over all Jews, and they were losing it because of Christianity.

How can you find the tomb of a man that wasn't there? Plus it wasn't his families tomb it was that of Simon of Armathea. Plus how do they know they don't have DNA on Jesus. And Jesus was God. Read John 1:1. He didn't find it sorry.

The fact that the Jews found it in 1980 prove that it is false. If the Jews thought it was the tomb of Jesus, it wouldn't have taken 27 years to come out. The Jews have a lot of interest in disproving Jesus as the son of God. They have the technology to check. There is no reasonable explanation why the Jews would have waited until this yahoo looked at it for them to announce their discovery to the world.

his claims have been soundly denounced by those who actually found the tombs plus many others who closely looked at all the (hyped) evidence.... gnostic gospel support - having nothing whatsoever to do with the Biblical record.

i think Cameron is a hollywood producer that hoped to make as much "flash in the pan" money on his discoveries as was made on "the DaVinci Code" and other (anti-) Christ movies.

which doesnt make him a good source of trustworthy information on anything concerning the Bible.

As I recall, all of his "evidence" was denounced as spurious, and he ended up recanting his claim.

As for DNA evidence, the fallacy of that is fairly easy to spot. And Biblical studies? As I remember it, in the Bible Jesus AROSE from the dead.

Don't know if he's dreaming or not, but he's certainly got an agenda.

James Cameron is a nut. Does he actually think he can find the tomb of Jesus?! I rank him right up there with Dan Brown.
Next thing he'll say is that he knows where Moses is buried.

i think he found it and you see how the Jews and the Christians are covering it up, the Jews pored concrete and welded it shut to prevent any more scientific studly

2000 years of brain washing is hard to over come and if it is proven that Jesus is dead, no more money will be given to these false religions

Cameron proved that he is a washed-up, desperate hack, and probably at the bitter end of what used to be an admirable career.

Pity.
