This might sound like a stupid question, but I don't know what to think. Here's the situation in a nutshell: I was in a very serious relationship with my son's father and broke it off, knowing that I was not happy with him and was "settling" for what I thought was all I could get. I finally opened my eyes and realized I need to be happy again so I can feel good about myself and be a better mom. I am going out with a guy from work tomorrow night, a date I guess, and my son's uncle (his dad's brother) keeps telling me it isn't going to work out with him and he's going to disappoint me. Me and my son's uncle are truely best friends, can talk about anything. I understand he just wants to see me happy, but he insists this guy is going to hurt me (emotionally). He just "has a feeling". It's not because he wants to date me, and he's happy that I broke up with my ex, I just can't understand why he is saying this. Details...

I know I should just shrug it off, but it's going to be hard not to think about what he said when I meet up with my friend tomorrow night. Would you believe your best friend if they told you that?

He has never seen or talked to the guy I work with.
