We will nuke each other way before global warming has any effect. And besides, what made the glaciers advance and retreat many times before man was around? Global warming is a buzzword for left-wing liberals who want to argue about something they know nothing about-they've seen Al Gore point to a chart and that means it is true?. I have seen the satellite imagery of Iceland and the Arctic. Hard to argue with that. And yes, man is partly to blame; but not the sole cause. And no matter what we do, China and Russia sure aren't going to follow suit. (And what the hell happened to my photo?)

I know!

And then there are all those things that get uncovered while ice melts. Did you see those pictures of things that were living and are still living in the waters around Antarctica? There was a friggin' trilobyte living doen there! they didn't call it one, but can you tell me the difference between whatever that was and the trilobyte?

and also, it took a heat wave to reveal that guy who died in the mountains a while back, and the maple farmers in Conneticut were harvesting maple sap at ti9mes of the year that were before unheard of, I love mapole syrup! and so the price of real maple syrup came down. And who knows what they will find if things melt? They might find a lost civilization or two that way.

Oh why are things that are good considered so evil? When has the Earth EVER stayed the same?

Well no, not ALL of us. Evolution is something that happens BETWEEN generations. So what would happen would be that the vast majority of people would DIE, leaving only those that already had enough heat resistance to survive. Because of the population collapse, there would be a lot less competition for resources, assuming there were enough adapted plants and animals around. So the survivors would pass on their genes, hopefully the kind that were disposed to living in a higher temperature. Ta da! Evolution! (Yeah, sad too.)

WE wont evolve WE are as we were born... there could be some evolution within the species, though most major jumps in evolution due to a need to adapt have come with a mass extinction. nature won't "take care" of anyone or anything... "nature" just IS it is not an entity with feelings or motives.

Because what we do now and how we deal with it will affect the whole future (or not) of the planet. The reverberations of our action/inaction will be felt for generations to come. I'm not worried about me, I'm worried about my children and their children.

No, it will happen much to fast for that. People don't evolve, populations do. Besides, there isn't much even a thicker hide can do against 200 degree weather. And it could get MUCH hotter than that. Fast.

Intersting question. The only thing is, you never know -- better safe than sorry. That's why it's important to be educated aboout these kind of stuff and to know what we can do to stop it or at least avoid it for as long as possible.

Ok, so you don't care if your children or grand-children won't be able to run bare-foot in the grass. I guess that is their curse for coming from a bad seed. But the Polar Bears are drowning you idiot! What did they ever do to deserve THAT?
