find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

1. It is 'losing' not 'loosing' 2. Net Weight Loss =EnergyOut-EnergyIn 3. There are 3500kcal/lb 4. Follow the recommended food guide produced by your region/government. 5. Cut down on portion sizes 6. Do cardio at least 30 mins 5 times a week 7. Watch the weight melt off and be happy! Give yourself a month to start to see results. 8. THE MOST IMPORTANT rule is: "If you want to stay at the same weight or look the exact same as you are then keep doing exactly what you're doing right now. If you want to look better and feel better than start making changes and your body will adjust accordingly."

I bought a bicycle a few weeks ago- I ride it about 3-4 times a week peddaling continuously for about 30 minutes, and I've already lost 5 lbs!! So buy a bike, or do more activities- Cardio is what burns the fat! Also- drink ice cold water before every meal. It shrinks your stomach down so you wont over eat- and another trick- cut food portions down. When you go out to eat, ask for a to-go box at the beginning of the meal, and take half home with you to eat later. (leftovers are yummier anyway!!) Good luck- hope I helped.

give her healthy food......we are not people from 100 yrs ago who worked hard in the fields, factory lines..etc..our bodies cannot handle being sedentary for long without gaining weight.....we have to make up for that differenc..

Become a vegetarian. Do you know any overweight vegetarians? I don't think they exist. Try an Internet search for "vegetarian diet" + overweight (OR "lose weight").

Get her to get more involved with PE. Make her exercise, eat healthy, and make a meeting with her doctor.
