I LOVE it! When you first start out with it, it may cause some dryness so you probably want to have a good oil free moisturizer to use along with it. Also, I started off using the products just once a day, then using it twice every other day (and once on the opposite days) up until I was using it day and night. It really has made a huge difference! I also have many friends that use it and have had great results. It is a bit more expensive than your typical face wash but when I think of all the other products I was buying too, and not loving my skin, it is SO worth it!

I think its a great starter product. It works better than drugstore benzoyl peroxide products.

It works very well, but after awhile it loses its affectiveness. It's okay to switch products now and then and come back to it if you start to break out again.

Pros - Great 3 step system. Makes acne and cystic acne disappear after a week or two of usage. Great cleanser and toner. Prevents acne breakouts and treats all levels of acne.

Cons - Dries out skin (if this happens, use 3x a week instead of 7) Facial moisturizer (acne lotion) bleaches towels and clothing (use a white towel or sheets when using this system). A bit more expensive than drugstore products. Ineffective when used for a long period of time.

If the ineffectiveness happens, switch over to a salicylic acid wash and Retin a micro which can be prescribed to you by a dermatologist.

Personally, Retin a micro is my favorite acne medication and also combats wrinkles!

Good luck!

Yes it does work. The good thing is now that other people have come out with other products, the price of Proactive has gone from $60 to $19.99. It is well worth the price. Good luck and God bless.

It depends on your skin type. For example i have sensitive skin and it was too strong for me, so it made me break out way worse than i had before. My friend has...regular skin i guess you would call it...in other words non-sensative skin. She used it and it worked great. It just depends on you. It won't really hurt to try.

Good luck!

ps if that doesnt work, talk to your doctor. i got an oral pill, Tetracycline along with a face gel, Differin, and my face cleared up fast and stayed clear.

I use it and it works okay but Im considering switching to murad.
With my experience it gets rid of excess oil pretty well and got rid of and prevents much of my acne breakouts. But I still get occasional white heads. And It leaves my skin with dry patches even when i use a moisturizer.

well, if your consistent and use it every time your suppose to use it, it will work like magic. it's like an antibiotic --- the acne will work resistance towards it if you don't use it the wayyour supposeto use it. but i had a friend where proactive didn't work, but then again, nothing worked for him.
