We have people from all over the USA coming. What beer should I choose that would be interesting, but not too over the top?

yeungling(sp) is always a good choice, and very well liked around the country. try to stay away from normal stuff like coors bud and mgd since everyone can drink it,but get something from your region, say if your in atlanta pick up some sweetwater or terrapin. if your not sure, just go to a bar and ask about your regional selection. most places will have good ideas

A local microbrew is an interesting idea, but, just in case...my fallback beer is always Newcastle Brown Ale.

Shiner Bock is a good all around beer for everyone's taste.
Made here in the U.S. in Shiner, Texas. You can't go wrong with Shiner!

Try a Grolsh I think that's the way to spell it...
They come in a cool bottle with resealable cork.

My advice..find a nearby Microbrewery and let them know what you need. I'm sure they'll be happy to let you sample a few to help you decide.

You could just go for the classic Budwiser.

Meh.
