I've been going out with a guy from Seattle (I live in L.A.) for awhile now. I talk to him everyday on the phone and online, or any way I can. I probably get to see him every few months, quite regularly. I really like him, but I just don't know if it can really work out with the distance. What should I do?

any relationship can work, as long as both parties are willing to put the effort into it. however, long distance relationships require an extra amount of effort. in order for ldr's to 'really' work, u both must share a common goal in the end, whether it be to live together in one city or the other or to continue forever as a ldr. without this common goal, someone will come up short.

NO! Relationships need time and connection...hence the words: LONG DISTANCE.
I guess that is one of the reasons why "celebrities" never stay together long....One week you're filming in Paris, the next week you have a photoshoot in New York...while your lover is on the other half of the globe....and your co-star is lookin' kinda good....

I know people that are in long distance relationships and I know that it can work. If you really like him then don't give up. Go for it.

I had to go through this and yes I believe they can work you just have to work at it and eventually if you're lucky you can be together some day.

If you really cared about eachother you can make it work. You can find little romantic things to do for eachother while you are apart.
