Having thoroughly irrigated the eye with cool running water, there's not much more you can do. Just be sure to see a doctor or pharmacist if there are any signs of infection, because prompt treatment will prevent it from getting any worse.

No, your eye probably will not be alright. Infections within the body are LIVING things, and when they go outside of the body via pus they survive for up to 15 minutes, but since the infection was incubated within the pus, it survived the travel between his ear and your eye. Another point is that infections LOVE moist, mucus producing areas of the body and this includes the eye. After blinking, the mucus traveled behind and under the surroundings of your eye ball and absorbed itself into the tissue of the eye, so chances are your eye will end up infected with some sort of pus producing agent.

You will be fine but if anything would happen the worst would be an eye infection. Never squeeze and infected area because as you just saw it is a good way to spread the bacteria causing more infections.

Ha ha! Thanks for the gross out. Your eye will be fine. I think that everyone has either had this happen to them or knows someone who has had this happen.
