Ive jumped from both and my own personal experience is your nervous the first time but when your in a plane everything is so far away it makes it a little easier.....when u jump from a platform you can see the people screaming at you

sky diving is a better rush, and if i'm gonna free fall i really don't want to be pulled back up and then dangle there.
