I do think the rules are a bit much. One of the things that first attracted me to nascar was emotion of the drivers. I don't expect for a brawl everyrace but drivers should be allowed to speak freely. When they find drivers for cuss words that is just rediculous. They are forced to give interviews and then fined for answering questions. As for the COT car i don't mind it Spoilers and Spliters Are meant for Racing but teams should have some room for adjustement. Also if they are worried about safty give them some tires with grip. If they're worried throw a caution after a few laps to check them out. What fun is it if the drivers can't go all out.

All the rule changes since Dale killed himself trying to block have been made to make the race safer for the drivers. Even the COT was designed strickly to make more room for the driver inside the car, to better survive a crash.
Now if you want to discuss the petty yellow flags for rubber debris on the track.......

It's all in the politics.Teams, companies,Manufactures all lobby for benifits that help them.As in politics the more nosie and money more the rules favor you.

It's as fake as wrestling. Tony Stewart even said so. It cost him and he apologized but the fact is that he admitted it.
