NO i dont agree with that. One of my good friends is a cop and he is one of the greatest guys i know. If he didnt have a soul he wouldnt put his life on the line everyday to save ppl he doesnt even know.

I'm not sure the direction you want to go here, but here is what I know.
Policemen, cops, pigs, fuzz, the man, 5-0 whatever you want to call them have an amazing amount of heart and soul.
Now- before you start yelling or reach for the thumbs down button perhaps there are a few things you should consider.
There are good and bad people in EVERY profession. Yes the news does play up the ones that are bad and rightly so.
But let's look at the other ones.
I don't know your age, but from the questions you have asked and your nickname, I would suspect you are in the under 21 crowd and somewhat bitter about most everything.
Policemen are amazing people. They take training to have to deal with all sorts of issues.
Would you be willing to:
Chase down a robber that just beat an old man to steal his car knowing the robber has nothing to lose if he decides to kill you?
Enter a home with a domestic violence call where some drunken slob may or not be armed and has no problem with taking you out as well?
Assist the Fire Department and go into a dangerous situation to save others? (think 9/11 here)
Deal with a rape victim?
Deal with a victim of child abuse?
Be on call in all weather?
Be willing to put your life on the line EVERY DAY for people that hate you?
So, if you answered yes to any one of those questions I guess you have the right to complain.
If not….. then you better ask yourself who your going to call when you have a problem like those above? The police or your mommy?

Theres 2 kind of cops out there. Ones who just wanna do thier job and let the little things slide and theres the ones who got picked on and bullied in school so they live to arrest people and write tickets. But they all have souls, wether or not that soul is good or not is a different story.

Never, its a stupid comment made by bias people who grew up being taight that police officers are tools and not people. For one I am a CHP explorer and many of my friends and neighbors are really nice, cool, and layed back. They have different personalities both on the job and off. My father is an ex-con and believe it or not, the officers that he used to think were morons and racist, which arrested him, are now some of his friends. Officers are tough because they need to protect their lives as well as others, when they arrest people, its because they people are better off behind bars or paying for their crimes, than walking freely on the streets. I believe officers..most officers....have good morals ad have more of a soul than a lot of other people.

Hmm, this is a hard question. I do not believe this to be true in all cases. However it can be. It frustrates me to watch shows like cops and cop chases. I hate how they can be so mean. I respect the ones who devote to their job fully, but then again there are those who pretend to defend the law but break it themselves.

I agree, I don't believe in souls, so you have my support. But criminals and random posters don't have souls either, so it kind of evens out. But of course for more information on such things, I would have to consult the great noodley master and creator of all, The Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I would think it takes more soul to have to endure and encounter what they do on a regular basis and still believe there is good in the world and still wake up each day to continue on

Law enforcement officers have to deal with stuff the general population has no idea about and the are not paid nearly enough of what they deserve. It takes a lot of soul to do that kind of job.

Definately not....whomever told you that probably had a run-in with a cop (or several over time) and has gotten tickets and fines for breaking the law and are just upset about it.
Speaking on behalf of myself and my husband, we are both former cops, and we always treated those people whom we pulled over with respect...that is, until they mouthed off because they were pissed they got pulled over for speeding, or running stop signs, or whatever else it was.

No, it isn't true. They can get burnt out after years of dealing with the criminal element, but they usually start their profession because of a desire to help others. There are exceptions of course, some are in it for the power trip, but I have to believe that the majority have good motives, that of helping others.
