I'm finding it hard to stay motivated in my life - in regards to accomplishing everyday tasks. How you to motivate yourself to do chores or difficult things in your life?

It's all about association. You might be associating more pleasure in not doing a certain task rather than doing it. For example, you tend to enjoy watching television more than you do washing those dishes. I know I do!

The trick here is to do what you dislike before your mind gets the chance to analyze the situation. I do this when I wash my car, fix my closet, answer an email, or any other chore that needs attending to. By the time your mind thinks of putting a task aside you're already done.

For more serious stuff like studying for a test or finishing a project it helps if you are clear on why you want to do it. The "how" just follows. I'm sure you have read about this somewhere before but it's that simple. Picture in your mind how great it would feel to pass that test or get recognized for that project and work from there. It also doesn't hurt to get a coach or mentor.

Ahhh, good question. I am having the same problem myself because I'm going through a period of finishing up school, trying to find a full time job, and move out at the same time.
Here are my pointers to get me through:
1. Write a to-do list and only put the most important tasks on the paper because you will overwhelm yourself with small tasks that do not need to be taken care of right way
2. Music! I can't stress this enough to anyone. Music that puts you in a good mood or relieves stress for you is a bonus because it boosts the feel good hormones in your body that gets you motivated.
3. Exercise- again it boosts the feel good hormones that makes you feel better and happy. Any type such as walking, running, or a favorite hobby/sport of yours will get your moving much quicker and better.
4. Talk to close friends and family- talking out your problems takes the extra burden off your shoulders and sometimes solves problems
5. Pet an animal. I know this sounds funny but numerous research studies indicate that petting an animal that you love or have is a stress-relieving therapy because it takes your mind off of things and puts you in a better mood
6. Most of important.........think positive, upbeat thoughts! Stay away from any negative feelings/thoughts as best as you can. Whenever a negative energy comes near you, fight back with positive images. Tell yourself over and over again that you are strong, persistent, smart.......etc and if you keep this up, eventually you will be thinking positive in no time and be more motivated and lack procrastination. Just believe in yourself and keep telling yourself you can do it and your worth it; for whatever you are working towards you will overcome it.

These emotions are average. When you're down and also you lose motivation bear in mind that every day is ultra-modern. You on my own get to select what to do with every day. Be blue. Be proactive and get out and do anything. If not anything is operating...step out in a brand new path for the brand new day. Go via your cloth wardrobe and throw out all un quintessential stuff and stuff that's too historical or tired. I spend a few of my excellent time cleansing up each and every subject that demands a brand new appear with out spending any cash. Take a well lengthy appear at in which you're and in which you've been and such a lot importantly attempt to feel of each and every well factor for your existence. This is transitority. Maybe a brand new activity profession? (one more path) What do you do excellent, what could you care to do?? Take well care of your self and do not over indulge so as to make you torpid and not able to stand up and feel evidently and get going. You are a TC on YA and without doubt love puppies..possibly anything to do with puppies could fairly make your completely satisfied in paintings. My Grandmother could say, "No time for funky temper stand up and get going, you'll do it." Add: After watching in any respect of Josie's % and so forth. (greater than any person else on YA. If you probably did the portrait of her, you're an artist. You can write, draw and feature lots of pursuits. Get going. Josie's relying on you. Just appear at her eyes and she is going to inspire you!

It depends on what it is, but usually thinking positively about it helps. If you think about it negatively; "I hate doing the dishes", most likely, you won't do them.

There is a feeling of accomplishment when you do certain things, feel that when you complete something. Reward yourself with something positive when you finish something complicated or stressful. Make sure you don't get in the habit of rewarding yourself with food, that can be a nasty and rather "weighty" habit (pun intended!!).

I make lists and when I cross something off the list, I feel a sense of accomplishment. When that list is all crossed off, I feel great and reward myself with something like sitting out in the yard or taking a hike or a mocha in town at my favorite coffee shop.

The experts say to do the hard stuff first and get it out of the way. Or you might want to take Mark Twain's advice and "Don't put off 'til tomorrow that which you can put off 'til the day after."

Life is like a stage and we are all actors making our entries and exits to and from it.

Remember this and always hope for the best and be prepared for the worst.

Read motivational or inspirational quotes. Seriously, they make you feel good and feel good about yourself and sort of push you to goals.
