In a recent column, Colon said that more soldiers died during Clinton's admin than have died in Iraq.

Limbaugh corroborated this:

using this document from the military:

True, roughly 10,000 troops died during the Clinton years.
However, it is left to the reader to conclude that 97% of these deaths were NOT by combat, but accidents, homicides, etc. Sadly, this is the norm, although things are improving over time.

Basically, the tenet of Ms C and Mr L was that, because we lose so many soldiers through non-com, a few thousand extra deaths aren't worth the attention of the press.

So, my question is -
How many soldiers should die in Iraq before the press has the permission of Ms C and Mr L to publish these facts?

It's funny but even with the popular Gulf War, not too many realise over 70% of all US military personnel deaths were caused from non-combat incidents. They still reported the numbers then and are doing so now. Plus, more people die on US highways in a given year than die in the same year of any war we have ever been in [well, since cars were invented]. So, then, if it is a cause of so many deaths, guess we should stop war and driving, huh?

Interesting that this is the issue, and not the number of deaths of the enemy COMPARED to the number of deaths of our troops.

Instead, the only deaths mentioned by people against the war are civilian deaths (including every un-uniformed combatant - which is all of the enemy - making up the vast majority of the number) vs. the number of deaths of our soldiers at the hands of the enemy.

The seditious manner of these presentations are fairly obvious, but remain the norm, even now, in this poster's question.

With the drive-by media and of course, the mind-numbed hate-spewing sycophants of the left, trying to make the U.S.'s efforts look like a "Keystone Kops" episode the additions to the debate by Colon and Limbaugh are merely "equal time".
Equality...you can't stand that, can you? Why let people make up their own minds?
If "the press" had to get Colon and/or Limbaugh's permission to speak or publish there would be news worth reading, watching and listening to.

Every soldier that dies is one too many. However this BS you write about the press is just that. The press practically drools everytime they report another death, which they have been doing since day one.

The count of soldiers killed in Iraq doesn't count soldiers killed in accidents, by suicide (sadly, too common) or other means.

I'm sure, overall, more soldiers have been killed due to the illegal war in Iraq.

But as long as Bush & co control the media and censor journalists....

Too many have to die.

This is not the issue. What the media does is keep an active count. It intentionally undermines our efforts. It attempts to emotionalize the issue and turn Americans against our war efforts.

Zero. Any more deaths than that, and they won't broadcast it.
