my new lady friend and I have been planning a date for a week now, she told me we would spend a lot of time together today but her son got dirt in his eyes at school and she took him to the hospital before 3pm, it's after 10:30pm. It's been over 7hrs..
Am I beening paraniod that she's blowing me off, am I beening selfish, or is there something wrong with this picture?

well, i do think 7 hours is a bit long to be in the hospital for dirt in the eye. you could give her a call and ask her how her son is doing....

Hospitals take a long time unless it's an extreme emergency. It's possible that her son cut his cornea. It's possible that he needs a consult with a specialist. It's possible that he might have an infection. I went to the ER once for a really deep cut on my hand from a jar breaking. I was at the hospital for probably 8 hours before they cleaned and super glued the cut (seriously!), and sent me home. It's also possible that she did get home from the hospital already and is completely worn out. She can be forgiven for not calling as she's been worried about her son. Give her some time. If you don't get a call in the next day or two, you know then that she was blowing you off. If she was serious about being at the hospital, she will call you.

You may be a little paranoid but you may not be as well. If it is the first time that something like this happend or the second and she has had a valid reason, you should just chill out and make a supportive phone call to check on her and the kid. Tell her to call you when she gets in so you can make sure they are okay. If this is not the first time and you have had this feeling before, you should probably pull back and relax with her because this may not be going anywhere for you.

Dude she is blowing you off big time !!! They would not keep someone there at the hospital for dirt in the kids eye. The doctor would tell them just to go home and flush it out with water. Sounds like she blew you off. Don't contact ehr until she contacts you first. 7hours is a bit much for dirt in the eye !!! Forget what the other people are saying about. Something is weird with 7hrs.
She is playing mind games with you man. Tell her to go to hell...women who play mind games are not worth your time. Life is too short.

Call her and ask her how her son is and if she needs anything. Offer her to bring her and her son dinner if they're still at the hospital or offer to drop off a pizza or something at her home. If she doesn't answer leave her a voicemail with that... don't expect to see her today. Just be there for her and let her deal with her son. Call again tomorrow to check up on the son and take it from there.

I would call her at home to see how her son is. If she went to ER, which I'm sure she did, you can sit in a busy ER for hrs. Too, it all depends on how serious the son's accident was & what treatment they have to give him. If you call & find her still not home, I'd leave a nice message on her ans. mach. & let her know you're concerned & would she please call you to let you know how things are. Hopefully she has an ans. mach. This way she'll know you cared enuf to call, & if she cares, she'll call you back. That's about the only thing you can do at this time. You know the truth w/come out & you'll soon know for sure what happened. But I would give her the courtesy of at least trying to call her.

there sure is something wrong with this picture.
you are evidently one of the most selfish people i have ever heard of.
she is in the hospital with her son that was hurt and you are complaining about your date that you have been planing for a week.
i can only hope that she gets wind of how you feel and never sees you again!!!

Friday on a holiday weekend in an ER could be a long wait. Give her another chance.
