Hmm. I'm a guy and I'm not really sure what you mean about guys not caring. Do you mean men are emotionally unavailable, guys use women for sex and little else, etc?
Men mature at a slower pace and at an older age than women, making their goals and needs/wants much different than a typical female of the same age-group.
As men age they actually begin to realize all the shallow, unintelligent and belligerent things they do aren't really getting them places and at that point they try to turn things around. Before that I think it is the luck of the draw in finding a guy who isn't fixated on himself or his needs.

You are obviously looking in the wrong place. My guy isn't shallow and neither are my brothers and most of my guy friends. Also women can be shallow too.

I read an article something about this, Why Can't a Woman be the next Einstein? in the Times Magazine and it said that men usually don't care because their emotional part of the brain is not connected to the language part of the brain, unlike women. In other words, women are more likely to talk about their feelings, and men are more likely to keep their feelings to themselves than just talking about them.
I hope this doesn't offend any males...

all guys are shallow ALL, some just say they're not just because they have no chances WITH BEAUTIFUL GIRLS

Same can be said about some females.
If someone really cares about you, they will show an interest to your needs.
If all they want is in your pants, well, thats where their mind is, and they really aren't interested in "you".

its in thier genes...it's just natural to them..women can control hormones and we choose who we are attracted to...men on the other hand cant tell the difference between if the lil head is talking or the big head...they let the media tell them who to be attracted to
