What kind of fits are you having? Are they seizures or just ranges of uncontrollable anger? I would not exactly ask you to go against your parents and it would help to know your age and why do you feel that your life is screwedup. There are steps that you can take. If you are not comfortablem with your therapist, let them be aware of it. Tell your therapist, you have medical rights also and shoulde be allowed to work with someone that can help you with your treatment plan. You cannot just walk in and tell them that you want medication. If it seems as if noone is listening call a crisis intervention worker. You can get the number from a 911 operator or else go to the nearest emergency room. They are supposed to have you evaluated and if you can not work with the therapist, let them be aware of your situation. You may need to be treated in-hospital for your condition. It is supposed to be a decision that the psychiatrist will order them for you and if they are needed, you will be able to work with them on your treatment plana that involves more than medication. Whatever he/she feels is appropiate. Just remember that your therapist are supposed to work with you and your family on the issues that you and they have and perhaps to come into what would help you the most. If you have no insurance, the hospital is legally responsibility to stabilize you and have someone connected with you that the main goal is to help you and your parents get the proper care, not just what your parents say.

Maybe this therapist will help you. Why do you think you need drugs? That would only produce something temporary making things easier for the time being, I think it would be better if you learned to cope without them and not become dependent on them. As far as helping yourself without your parents knowing, that depends on how old you are. There are rather practical techniques you could utilize such as journaling or, say, listening to music and trying to figure out the root of your problem. Then you could go from there. Also try guidance counselors at your school, they might be able to help. Find someone to talk to.

I think you should stop asking questions on here, and like actually seek help. Try going to guidance counselors because they really do specialize in situations in like kids, teens, etc. Therapist just ask obvious questions, while getting paid.
Ask advice from you friends, or like ask you friend's mom's and dad's.
Here your not really going to get the best answer that's right for YOU.
So go around, and look for like help groups where you can share your problems with a group that has similiar problems with you.
Oh, a quick question. Are you bi-polar? Because this is something bi-polar people go through.. just a thought.

I am very concerned you think you need drugs. You cannot diagnose yourself. Your parents are doing the right thing by taking you to a therapist. I suggest you get the help you need so you will be well again. Take care.

If you are a teen, you should know that few antidepressants are recommended for use on teens because they may make teens suicidal and you don't want that. A therapist is a good place to start - the therapist can make a referral to a psychiatrist if medications are indicated.

Talk to your teacher you feel comfortable around and also the school counselor if you have one. If not, call the School Board at your county and ask .
Try and talk to your parents again. tell them that you don't feel well. Tell them all the feelings you have. They will listen to you.
