I started a new way of eating about 3 weeks ago, I started watching calorie intake and I have always exercised. I was comfortable w/ my weight, but wanted to lose another 10 lbs, and learn a heathy way of eating to keep the eight off and be healthier. well, I just weighed myself and I gained a good 5 pounds, how is that possible?
I ate mostly fruits and vegs, (w/o butter), I stopped eating ice cream, and cut down on my snacking, and I ate plain broiled chicken...so I ask you, how could I have possibly gained weight? I'm so frustrated. :(
Has anyone else found a diet that actually works?

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
weight can flactuate during the month - some women can gain even up to 15lbs of water weight which goes away as soon as their period starts.

I determined the e-book to be very informative and convenient to learn. I've misplaced 17 kilos in 12 days, I'm simply worried that I'm wasting an excessive amount of weight, too rapidly. I will admit I have not adopted the advisor precisely. I'm no longer sticking flawlessly to the indexed meals and meal plans (however commonly) and doing little or no activity, however the weight maintains flying off. It certainly works and if I'd adopted it precisely I feel it could scare the residing daylights out of me on account that of the volume that I'd lose. So thank you once more for the know-how. Ingredients:
* 1 Bombay onion or garlic
* 6 green onion leaves
* 1 big cauliflower
* 6 fresh tomatoes
* 2 pieces of paprika
* Celery

maybe you cut down on the types of foods you ate, but not on the portion sizes. you could have easily lost weight by eating the same foods and just having simply cutting down on the portion sizes and added a little extra physical activity than you normally would do.
I personally suggest that you divide your meals into six small meals, whatever you do dont skip breakfast that's what helps boost your metabolism.
breakfast;
1/2 a lite english muffin (you can buy at almost any store)
1 hardboiled egg or scrambled, but use lite nonstick spray
1piece of fruit
snack
1piece of fruit or some carrot/celery sticks or even some cucumber slices (6baby carrots, 1/2 cucumber, or a small fruit)=choose only one from the above
lunch
1 protein (7ounces) chicken, steak or fish (remove as much fat as possible)
2 veggies(1cup lettuce=1serving, same as above veggies )
1starch (lite bread or whole wheate breat)
snack same as above
dinner
same as lunch just you can add
1 fat (lite mayo, lite sour cream, or some olive oil)
snack same as above
I know this seems like alot of food or maybe not, but i can assure u it works, i've tried it for almost a month now and i've lost like close to 15pounds. i havnt stuck to it as i shud but if you do im sure u'll do so much better.
