Yes and no.

It's not the clothes that people wear that make them holy, but the choices that they make. Clothes are something than people usually have a choice over, as such they are a very pale image of the kind of person they are.

If clothes are worn simply because others are, then I'd say its a fashion, and has nothing at all to do with religions ideals of holy or righteous.

If you think deeply about the religious reasons why you might chose to wear particular clothes then I'd say yes. Only you/your Deity can answer the question.

No, it cannot. Wearing a costume of some sort, or simply by being modestly dressed, does nothing to make you holy and righteous, but it can be a reminder to yourself of your devotion and strive to holiness.

Not necessarily. Priestly robes didn't keep some Catholic priests from sexually abusing their parishioners. Wearing a beard and white robes didn't keep Osama bin Laden from killing thousands of people. Wearing pentagrams didn't keep two former students of mine from committing criminal acts either.

What makes you holy, righteous, in accord with Ma'at,--however you define it--is what is on your INSIDE.

It is not what goes ON the body or INTO the body that makes it holy but what comes out of it. Jesus taught that.

It does not make you it represents how you see yourself and others. I dress modestly because I want to not be a temptation to another and to respect God, my fellow man, and myself. Not because I am holy or righteous.
