No. If a person decides to join any other branch of the military after serving in the Marines, no basic training is necessary. However, if one decided to join the Marines after serving in another branch of the military, they are required to undergo Marine Corps basic training.

No. I've been in the Army. The training you got as a Marine would make any training you'd get in the Army seem like summer camp. I believe you can enter the Army at the same rank you held as a Marine, although I don't know why you'd want to.

No your service in marines will count towards Army as long as you had a honorable discharge. Basic in Marines is harder then the Army. If you where in the air force I think you would have to redo basic in Army.

citadel Sill is a guidance base. interior the U. S. military, there are guidance bases and there are guidance BASES. citadel Sill is a guidance BASE. for valuable. section is distant. climate sucks. each and every little thing is a great way from each and every little thing. No time for something by way of fact you're in guidance. And, subsequently, working is par for the direction, everywhere, each and all of the time. 4 showers an afternoon will on no account be sufficient. even if it makes stable squaddies. and that's the finished purpose. And once you ultimately get out into the actual military international, popping out of citadel Sill lends slightly extra validity to your self and your checklist. stable success.

No. In fact, even if it did, they have a new program in the Army. It is one month instead of two, and they focus on combat techniques, because prior service members already know enough drill and ceremony to get them through life.

It's probably a question of how long they have been out of the Marines. If less than a year, I doubt it.

At one time, there was a shortened "refresher' training for re-ups and those from other services. It was just a few days long ,was mostly weapons qualification and a PT test.

Nope. I switched over, and it was quite easy. Went straight to my new unit. (And back to Iraq shortly =op ) I must admit, the army is a much easier life. God bless it.
