Another user would apparently like to start a contest. He said he helped a woman with her groceries today. That's very nice, but I'm sure the rest of us did something nice, too. If you want to enter, please state your religious affliation as well as the good deed.
I'm eclectic Pagan. I pleaded the case of a person who was about to be fired today and got them another chance. Oh, and my wife loves lobster salad, and I hate handling raw meat of any kind, but I got a bit of lobster and made her some for tonight.

I don't need to know your religion, exactly; I just thought it would be good to show that kindness isn't a matter of religion or non-religion.

I did not get pompous at my new job with the girl that is "training" me... she is very judgemental of others, likes to make fun of customers, and generally is very selfish and is very open about this part of herself (whines about having to work all the time etc). I kept my cool, and was able to be impartial to her, and use some of my hard-earned psychology knowledge in interacting with her. I don't know if any of it actually registered, as it seemed most of what I said went right over her head, but in keeping the situation from escalating to "hotheaded opinions" (that is, I did not start judging her like she was judging everyone else) I did herself and me both a favor, and we both still have a job, lol.
[EDIT]
Actually, there are two nice things I did today... I refrained from insisting on my partner sleeping out in the doghouse tonight for locking the keys in the car AGAIN... we have only one key, and it is one of those programmed keys. Sigh, lol...
[Edit no. 2]
Well, if I'd read the whole question first, lol...
I am a Welsh faerie shaman, and a psychology student getting very close to a B.A. degree

I'm Atheist, and I brought my wife lunch today. She was working, I wasn't. And when she comes home tonight, she'll find the house is completely cleaned, dishes are done and put away, and by the time you read this, I'll have the last of the laundry done. She's pregnant, so I try to have all this stuff done so that she doesn't have to worry about any of it. In reality, she's the one doing all the real work!
If you ask the dogs, they're happy about the leftover steak I cut up and mixed with their dry food.
If you ask my iguana, he's happy about the green beans I gave him today (his favorite!).
If you ask me... I'm glad I had such a productive day!

I am a born Hindu.
My grand parent's on my father's side are Christians.
I am engaged to a Muslim girl, who doesn't want to talk to me anymore.
I was an atheist for a while.
Now I don't believe in any religion but belive in God.
I said sorry to someone whom I almost bumped into which perhaps is the most good deed I did today. I was home almost the whole day.
PS: I guess fallen angel was referring to me.

I ended a friendship with someone who had been showing signs of not caring for several years.
While this sounds cold; a clean break is better than a slow & jagged letdown.
I also keep in touch with someone who is recovering from a coma. I'm developing a genuine care for them, & met them here...on YA's!

I can't tell you, not if I want my treasure in Heaven. See, I'm Christian, and we follow the teachings of Jesus, who said that when we do things in God's name, you know - doing nice things for others - we should do so secretly.
In the teaching, He pointed out the guy on the corner, praying loudly and professing to all his devotion, and Jesus said that indeed that man has his reward. If we want a reward in Heaven for doing God's work now, then we have to keep it quiet.
But thanks for asking, it was a good question!

i do no longer see how helping a convicted criminal is a spectacular ingredient in any respect, yet i could say the nicest ingredient i've got completed these days became available out some nutrition, hygiene products to a homeless guy or woman (the day gone by).

My good works are only due to Jesus Christ. I made chocolate chip cookies today for my son's coaches tomorrow. It is the their last t-ball game. And my daughter and I are making goody bags for the kiddos.
