Since there seems to always be a sale on some form of hamburger, start there with your dinner ideas.

You can use Hamburger Helper to make a meal, or just make hamburgers themselves. Hamburger and canned spaghetti, (made by the same co. that makes Spahgetti-O's) is also good.

You could also try making a sauce for SPAM so you can eat it as a sandwich. Mix some Ketchup, mustard, sugar and a bit of water, (to your liking) with thinly cut SPAM untill it is warmed through. Basically make a BBQ sauce for it. It is cheap and good.

Or use your microwave and make Tuna cassorole. 1 can tuna, 1 can peas, 1 can cream of mushroom soup. Add some Pringles on top and cook for 5 to 10 min.

You can also cook cornbread to go with it in the microwave, just add a few cornflake crumbs to the top to give it the crunch you would normally get from the oven.

This one's not quick, but it's delicious. Use an inexpensive cut of meat. Cut up the meat into 'serving-sized' pieces or so, and coat each piece in flour mixed with salt and pepper. Spray non-stick spray on your skillet (frying pan, if you prefer) and brown the meat nicely on both sides over medium heat. Slowly pour a little water (about a cup) into the pan -- carefully, as it will steam and may splatter. Once it's gotten the reaction over with, add enough water to cover the meat. Turn the heat down and let the meat simmer for 45 minutes to an hour-and-a-half. Turn each piece of meat after about 20 minutes. Add a little water if it looks like it's getting a bit dry. Different meat takes different lengths of time to become tender. After 45 minutes, check the meat for tenderness with a fork. If it needs to cook longer, add more water if needs be. The meat won't be covered anymore, but shouldn't be running dry either. When the meat is nice and tender, Remove it from the pan. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice or noodles, as you prefer, and your favorite green veggie. The water and flour form a gravy as it cooks. When you have time, cook at least two meals' worth of this stuff (simmered steak) because it keeps and reheats really well.

Can use any meat or chicken, if you do use sirloin steak, ask the butcher for the Sirloin steak CAP, this is the most tender, and tasty.

BALSAMIC GLAZED SIRLOIN STEAK

Can be prepared in 45 minutes or less.

3/4 pound 1/2-inch-thick boneless sirloin steak
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/8 teaspoon dried hot red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons medium-dry Sherry
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter

Pat steak dry and season lightly with salt and pepper. Spread 1 teaspoon sesame seeds evenly on one side of steak.
In a large heavy skillet heat oil over moderately high heat until it begins to smoke and add steak, sesame-seed-side down. Spread remaining teaspoon sesame seeds on top of steak. Cook steak 1 1/2 minutes on each side for medium-rare meat and transfer with a slotted spatula to a small platter. Keep steak warm.
Pour off almost all fat from skillet and add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook garlic mixture over moderate heat, stirring, 10 seconds and add Sherry. Boil mixture until almost all liquid is evaporated and remove skillet from heat. Add soy sauce, vinegar, and honey and bring to a simmer, stirring. Add butter and stir over low heat until incorporated. Spoon glaze over steak.

Roman noodle, 10 for $ 1.00. Can't get cheaper than that.
Boil it for about 3 minutes, drain and set in the bowl. Mix in the seasoning that came with it, and one spoon full of brown sugar or regular sugar.
Cut up some meat or chicken stir fried in one spoonful of butter or regular oil.
Sprinkle Garlic powder, cut up onion and scallion stir in it.
Put in your noodle.
Enjoy!!!

Note: I have a garden and love garlic and onion in my cooked, so it wouldn't be so hard for me to step outside to get my vegetable in anytime.
I would have my chicken cut up already in the freezer. I would buy packets of meats and chicken. I would cut them up and put them in sandwich bags, and then put every bag of chicken in one big freezer bag and date it. I did the same thing with meats. Anytime I need it, I just thaw it out in microwave.
