I invite you all to say something you admire about a faith other than your own. To preface, I am a born-again Christian. But I can see merits in other people's faiths. So I will begin.
I admire Jewish people for being true to scripture as they understand it.
I admire Muslims for their devotion; I wish I stopped to thank God for His blessings as many times a day as they do.
I admire Mormons for valuing a tight-knit, devoted family.
I admire Agnostics for their honesty. It's okay to say you don't know when you really don't know.
There, I've done it. Next?
Oh, and you know what your mom said- "if you can't say something nice..." :-) Blessings! Everyone have a great night.

Just so nobody's offended- if I didn't mention your particular faith (or lack thereof), it wasn't personal. I just gave a few examples. There are so many schools of belief out there, I couldn't possibly comment on every one. Peace!

I admire Muslim women for wearing their head coverings---I admire their commitment to modesty
I admire Evangelical Christians for saying what they think even if they are bashed for it
I admire Wiccans for their commitment to the environment
I know most all of these qualities are not specific only to the particular religion I attributed them to, but I see these good things, and I like saying them.

Yes I can, I do it all the time. And even though you left Atheist out, which I am, I will say that I've had lots of true Christian friends who have helped me out when I needed it and listened to my concerns. I think the Christian faith at it's basis teaches equality and that everybody can come to God.
Muslims-Very devout and I actually like that all you have to do to become one is profese God as God. No salvation and no trickery. Also, I like their concept of an after life that you have two angels and they write down all your good deeds and your bad deeds, which will be weighed accordingly at the end of your life. Nice concept.
Jewish-God nothing wrong with them. I like that they don't have a sadistic mindset of hell.
Agnostics-That they are open to all possibilities.
Buddist-That they have faith in the human spirit that, you as a human can transend yourself.
Satanism-That they live for themselves and don't give a **** about what people think. They believe that as long as you don't hurt anybody then do what you want. Nice concept (not my cup of tea...but).
There.

Well,I just love your post! I am a Christian too and am finding there are almost as many differences in Christians as in other faiths. The one thing I am starting to learn is that God is bigger than us all.I am so encouraged to see that I am not crazy ,(or if I am...you are too! lol)
Really, isn't it cool to see that God has it all together even if we dont? God Bless!
Oh! And a thing I love about another faith...Hindus...I was always a Beatle fan. George Harrison's song,"My Sweet Lord"...I loved it but was afraid it was against God cause he wasn't Christian.I now can love the song and realize that just cause I don't get it...don't make it not true!

I admire the Hindus for putting so much of an emphasis on learning and scholarship. They also look upon other religions with respect and actually study them. If all world religions acted like Hindus, there would be no religious wars or strife.

I admire everyone here, regardless of their religious affiliation, for remaining true to their beliefs and for being willing to stand up for them. We may not always agree. But we can all learn from one another.

I'm agnostic BECAUSE I have explored a lot of faiths. The Buddists made the most sense to me. If you want to know why I feel that way, e-mail me.
