I have always thought that the description of the flying vehicle in Ezekiel chapter one describes a UFO. The description by Ezekiel sounds very much like it may be: a man from ancient times describing something that he can in no way understand nor has ever experienced anything at all similar. The spiritual aspect may be that alot of the Bible may not be spiritual at all but ancient Mans' attempt to describe natural phenomenton that may or may not exist.

Yes, my favourite character in the Bible is Job.
The spiritual aspect of Job's story is that resolution to suffering is to be found in God's character.
When affliction disrupts our lives and destroys our serenity, we can find refuge in the goodness of God. He is the all-wise, infinite, holy, and good God. We are the creatures, He is the Creator. Therefore, like Job, I can rest in Him and trust in His incomprehensible perfection and goodness.
In other words, God's ways are higher than my ways.
He has the completed picture, He knows the end from the beginning. He can see beyond what I can see - He is working everything together for my good, because I love Him and is called according to His purpose.

I am finishing up a 12 week study of Daniel and it is so awesome. This is a really in-depth study by Beth Moore.
I do understand the spiritual aspect of it.. Daniel was a faithful servant, prophet and his obedience was without flaw. He stood up for God and did not participate in the Babylonian lifestyle. I love that Book!!

Isaiah 65:17 where he tells about a future paradise earth and I know that Isaiah is revelent because Jesus quoted from this book of the bible.
He said things that were so futureistic that the people were apalled and sawed him in half.
He said, in Isaiah 65:21 that people would build their own houses and have occupancy and plant vineyards and eat their fruitage and they wouldn't have to grow stuff for others.
That was a society of rich ruleing class who didn't work and the slaves did all the work and they felt they would do that in the future paradise earth. He told them no that wouldn't be the case.
What would the rich rulers do today if they were told they had to grow their own food and cook it and serve it to be able to eat it. They would have to build their own house.
Sometimes when I think about it it makes me laugh.
They must have been really mad to hear that.

Mary Magdalene, because she wasn't a hypocrite or self righteous. She is supposed to represent redemption because even a woman of ill repute could be a Christian. Most of the rest of the Bible isn't too great to me.

Under God's direction, Moses' army defeats the Midianites. They kill all the adult males, but take the women and children captive as sex slaves. When Moses learns that they left some alive, he angrily says: "Have you saved all the women alive? Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the female children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." So they went back and did as Moses instructed, killing everyone except for the virgins. In this way they got 32,000 virgins . ---- 31:1-54

The Tannaïtic Midrash Sifre to Numbers in §157 comments on the above quoted commandment of MOSES to kill the Midianite women as well as the male children...."

"....According to the Tannaïte Rabbis, MOSES therefore had ordered the Israelites to kill all women older than three years and a day, because they were [virgins and] "suitable for having sexual relations." [138]...."

"Said Rabbi Joseph, "Come and take note: A girl three years and one day old is betrothed by intercourse....."

I like the story of soloman and the baby. I like it because he didn't use any magic powers or miracles or booming voices from the sky, he just used good old logic and reason.
