Yes there is a good percentage of women who balloon out when they get comfortable, it's a damn shame... MOST people usually start dating a person AT FIRST for their physical attractions (before they actually pick up on their personality), so it's a bit sad that women don't feel it necessary to keep up on their appearance, I believe this to be one of the top reasons why men start looking elsewhere for romance, Men picked their mate because they appeared at first to care about their physique, and now look...no peanut butter, but all that jelly!!! Booooooo!

I definitely was. As soon as my man said "I do" I gained 20 pounds of so called happy weight. I got comfortable because I no longer felt like I had to impress my man with my physical appearance.Boy, was I wrong. I now realize that what I did in the beginning to get him is exactly the same thing I needed to do to keep him. I would be pissed and look outside of our marriage if he got man boob's so I had to do my thing and lose the love handles. It's okay to gain a little, but keep your partner interested by keeping him or her physically attracted to you.

Guys get like that too so don't even try to pin it on all of us women.
I admit I've let myself go a little but damn, I can be a busy girl...and lazy to boot. Time, energy, choices, even how much I can afford affects my eating habits. Now you, lay off that damn beer and those pretzels. You're getting a beer belly.
Pigs.

No, I'm not like that. I like my body, it is important to me to have a great body. I do it for myself, not for "my man" or to get a man.
My observation is that guys are even worse in that regard, on average. Love handles and a beer belly is a sure sign of a married man.

It really depends, actually. Sometimes, yes. We feel so secure with that person, and trust that person so much, that we feel it doesn't matter. If you've said, 'I love you' there's a trigger. She feels it'll take a lot for you to leave her, so she isn't working as hard to keep her. It's actually a huge self-esteem booster on both parts (it should be, anyway.)
