Sennheiser PMX70

I generally wear sports specific headphones when training, they are generally a lot more comfortable and also stay in your ears a lot better.

My headphone of choice for comfort, rich full depth sound and a neck band style are the Sennheiser PMX 70.

The neck band style makes it a lot easier to wear a hat on the cold days and the wire to the headphone goes into one earpiece and then is routed through the neck band to the other ear piece, which keeps the wires out of the way nicely.

I've got some made by Nike that have a hook that goes over your ear, which really helps keep it in place when you're running with an iPod. They were only about $30 at the local Apple Computer store. The bass response may not be the greatest, but when I'm running I keep the volume down anyway, so I can hear the outside world about equally with the music. For sports use, staying in place is more important than superb sound quality.

After many tries with many kinds, the Nike Sport Vapor works the best for me. Like an earlier answer, they hook over the ear, keeping them in place while running. They are very comfortable and I never worry about them popping out of my ear.

None. It's a dumb idea to run with earphones. You can't hear dogs or traffic.
