my son has been making weird faces lately..stretching top lip down and over his top teeth and nose up.. like he has tmj or something... could this be allergies? he does it automatic..doesnt even realize it like its a tick.. he does it like every 30 sec...for the past week.. what is this? any ideas? he is 6 years old, no history of any major illnesses or anything..hayfever is about all

Allergies isn't going to cause something like that. TMJ causes pain in the joint of the jaw. Believe me, I've had it in the past, and you wouldn't be doing any strange facial moves.

He could be playing around with facial movements, he could be nervous or he could be developing tics. I'd check with his doctor just to be safe.

could be just a bad habit he picked up or it may be that he's stuffed up from hayfever. these things have nothing to do with tmj

It could be a reaction to a medicine. It could be a lot of things. I'd get him to a doctor.
