Generally, I'd suggest being overall more active. For example, if you want to go somewhere with a friend? Walk, don't drive. Physical activity has a tendency to also suppress the feeling of hunger. I've become much more active as of late, and I'm not nearly as hungry. I eat less, and I burn incredible amounts of calories. I'm a waiter, so my work is quite physically demanding, and in addition to that, I'm working more hours, and getting out more. I'd suggest trying to do likewise. Get out, walk around, do things. You'll notice a major change, even if it's not just on the scale. I FEEL better, and so will you!

The running uses up more calories each day. If the number used up is more than the number consumed then yes ou will lose weight.
However when you talk about "eating junk food sometimes" that sounds like an alcoholic saying "I take a sip of beer sometimes" while he is laying on the floor of the barroom. If you want to really give your exercise a chance you have to cut the "sometimes" down to zero. Try that for a week or so and see if you like what you see on the scale. It might convince you to really cutback the junk (with its empty calories).

Yes, but you MUST cut out the junk food for faster weight loss (fat loss). Remember this, if you burn more calories than you consume you WILL lose weight (Fat). But you must also properly nourish your muscles from any exercise with a healthy, balanced diet (Proteins, Carbs and low fat) to be most effective.
