1000 island dressing is Russian dressing with relish in it
so I guess you are right but usually you add more to it
if you are making it at home do not make too much up ahead of time
adding any thing to mayonnaise shortens the time that it is good for
the dressings you get at the store has so many chemicals in it to keep it good
making home made is soo much better for you
here is a home made recipe
1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 TBS chopped fresh parsley
2 TBS chopped pimiento stuffed olives or sweet pickle relish
2 TBS chili sauce or ketchup
1 tsp finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp paprika
1 hard cooked egg finely chopped
in a Sm bowl mix all ingredients . store tightly covered in refrigerator

Yes, basically that is true. But different recipes call for other stuff, too, like finely chopped bell pepper and onions, ground red pepper, etc. You can google thousand island recipes, ya know. Or if you're looking for something for a sandwich, try this instead:
1/2 c mayo
2tablsepoons French dressing
4tsp sweet relish
1tablsepoon minced white onion
1 teaspoon white veingar
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
It'll taste just like McDonald's Big Mac secret sauce. It's awesome on Gardenburgers with shredded lettuce.

Ummm, you're kidding, right?? It would be stupid to call off a wedding because of something someone eats. Everyone likes different things. BTW, did you know....Thousand Island dressing is the "special sauce" on a Big Mac!

That's basically it. I had a packet of 1000 dressing mix I tossed in for the spices. I hated making that stuff.
