The problem with shy people is that they don't see the fun they could have if they just let go. You seem to be a bundle of joy and a very good friend. This date that you have to the prom hasn't a clue to any of your concerns. Does this make him a bad guy? not in the least! You wouldn't be the first woman on earth to provoke a shy gent into a world of care free and frivolous play. Just take him by the hand, cherish that you are a great friend and lead him into the time of his life. If your lady like, and positive, you may create the most wonderful memories for both you and he.

So here's the deal. Have you tried asking him what would be fun to him? If not then try and yeah he'll say well whatever you want. But let it be know like you said you want the both of you to have fun since it is your only prom night. And tell him to let you know whatever it is no matter how crazy. And you'll let him know if that's something your not interested in. Jus don't do something that you feel you have to do and makes you uncomfortable. Believe me that will put a bump in you memory for life. But remember jus to have fun even if you jus wing it. At least it's fun.

Get him drunk. He will have a good time. Any other ideas I have I can't post. You the Answers Nazis. Like you said this is the one and only Prom. Do what ever you feel like doing. You don't want to be sitting in a rocking chair some day thinking. "I should have done that at my Prom"

Find out what he is interested in and perhaps you'll discover you have more common ground that you initially thought.

Ask him what he considers "fun" on Prom Night. Then tell him your ideas. I'm sure the two of you can compromise on a strategy so that it will be an evening to remember.

In other words, talk to him.

Well try to get him to dance.. thats all you can really do at prom, besides some proms that offer additional entertainment.. my prom had a hypnotist and a fortune teller.. just try to get him involved, and don't let him sit in a chair all night..

Hmmm . . . I'd stick to dancing if I was you. Just curious, why isn't he the kind of guy you'd date? If you tell me, it would help me give better answers to guys who ask questions. Good night!

Just be nice and encouraging. Start out just talking and then ask him to dance to a fast song, and then a slow song.

when you go only be with him, it is not nice at all to go in with one and get with another no matter where you are or how shy or not, you guyspicked each other leave it at that.
