I am in the process of planning a mid-December wedding and was wondering what would be the best type of artificial christmas tree to use for decoration. I am thinking of using 2. Thanks for all the help.

Go with the silver ones. They will sparkle and add an element of winter charm. you can add ornaments in your colors.

Blue spruce or any of the bluish firs...they will not have that traditional "evergreen" christmas feel, yet will still add that feeling. Maybe those white feather trees like Martha Stewart used to sell? Those are elegant and classy...you could get little ones for the tables. I would stay away from the traditional red/green color theme...perhaps blue, white, or silver? A December wedding sounds awesome! Save me a slice of cake. I like the corner piece ;).

I have a cheapo fakie too- I went to walmart and bought a package of garland (not the shiny stuff-the stuff that looks kind of like the greens from a tree) I think it cost like $5 or $10 for 75 feet. I just layered it in between the branches before I put the lights and decorations on it. You dont know its there unless your head is in the tree, but the tree looks really full! HTH

The white ones would do good for both Christmas and wedding.

The slivery ones that look like they came out of an alien forest are best. You could sing, "I'm dreaming of a Star Trek Christmas."

Last Christmas I purchased a tall, thin green one that already had the lights built in. It's lovely and snaps together easily. They usually have a great selection.

I love the one I bought from Front Gate. It is tall, slender and silver. Very elegant.
