due to blocked pores

When you are young it is caused by your body changing because of your hormones. Your skin will over-produce sebum which is a natural oil and sometimes the pores get blocked and can easily become infected. The best thing you can do is stay healthy and eat well (stay away from the sweets), keep your skin clean (use a pimple cream or astringent twice a day) and keep your hands off the pimples because they can get worse if you keep playing with them and cause scarring.

Fundamentally, this is how a pimple occurs. When things are going well, the sebum smoothly leaves the pore and imperceptibly melts on the skin's surface, helping to keep the skin surface moist and smooth. When things aren't going well, as when the pore becomes plugged with sebum (oil) and dead skin cells and bacteria run amok, a blemish is the outcome. Surplus sebum is generated primarily by hormonal activity (stress, the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, birth control pills, or certain medications such as corticosteriods and lithium can act as a trigger). When too much oil is produced, it can become mixed with dead skin cells from the skin's surface, with poorly sloughed skin cells from the pore's lining, and with small pieces of hair debris from the follicle. This combination of sebum, dead skin cells, and small pieces of hair can clog the pathway out of the hair follicle/oil gland, creating quite a backup. Now, you've got problems.

When your body produces too much oil, and dead skin cells on the surface of the skin or inside the pore aren't shed normally, they can join together in blocking the exit from a pore. All this excess oil and dead skin cells solidify as a soft, white substance that plugs the pore. If the surface of the pore is covered by skin, it is called a whitehead. If the pore is open, without any skin covering, the top of the plug is exposed to air and darkens, causing a blackhead.

Whiteheads and blackheads become pimples when bacteria begins growing inside the plug, causing irritation and inflammation. This inflammation and excess oil causes the wall of the oil gland to rupture, spilling the contents (oil, cell debris, bacteria, and all) into the surrounding skin tissue. The body's immune system then responds to the inflamed area to help with repair (and causing swelling), and you now have a pimple.

Gentle cleansing is the first place to start.

There are different reasons. Physical changes during puberty, emotional stress, insufficient cleanliness, and diet. There are doctors who say that acne has nothing to do with diet. However, I know from personal experience that it does. If you have pimples you want to get rid of, I would recommend that you eat healthy foods, raw vegetable salads regularly, take multivitamins/minerals with a bit of extra zinc. Keep your skin clean and be happy. Cheer up and don't allow cranky people to make you cranky. Regular exercise may help too. Sweating is good for you. Drink plenty of water. No more soda. Noxzema Skin Cream is good for washing your face. After you wash your face, place Oxy or Clearasil lotion on the pimples. This will help dry them up.

We don't grow pimples. We're not plants that grow zits or something, you know.

We get pimples because of hormones, skin type, and genetics.
We are more likely to get it when we are young, and even when we are in our 20s or 30s.

The best thing to do is to keep your hands off your face, wash twice daily with an cleanser for acne prone skin, and apply zit cream at nighttime. In the daytime, use a mattifying moisteriser (like Garnier Pure) to keep the shine down.

If you have really bad skin, try Accutane.

Pimples are just inflammation of a hair follicle that's been clogged by sebum and dirt. Cleansing and using a oil controlling toner will help to keep hair follicles clear and stop the eruptions of pimples.

body has oils that leaks out of our skin.
as oils reach the surface they can create the pimple.
always try to cleanse your face from these oils that are trapped creating these little monsters.
