On the show Wheel of Fortune, during the Bonus Round. When the contestant spins the wheel, why does the host point to the card and tell the contestant to hand it to him? Why doesn't he just pick it up himself?

He needs to make them feel like they are Really a big part of the game,
plus he might fart when he bends over he is getting older now!

It is a ruling of the standards and practices group. Ever since the game show scandals back in the early days of t.v. to avoid any cheating they have certain rules. If Pat dosen't touch it then there is no hint of cheating.

The producers of the show make the rules not the host.

so they can rub there own luck on it first he doesnt want people to say he jinxed there card

Maybe he doesn't want to bend over..or maybe he thinks they need to earn it.. who knows..
