I've been wondering alot lately. What happens when we die, I'm Catholic, and just starting to become one, but what if all of it is a lie, I don't want to go my whole life, and then find out it was all for nothing....I know that's why we have faith, but could you imagine if the world found out the Bible was just a book, nothing holy, it was fake....the world would go crazy seeing how we've believed are whole lifes in something that's not true.

What do you guys think?

There is good evidence that God is there and that the Bible is what it says it is. Both scientific and prophecy from the Bible.. You say you are a Christian. You seem to have misgivings about the faith.. I really can help email me... Jim

Nothing. Remember what it was like a hundred years ago? It's like that.

This scares some people so much they make up stories about a magical fairy granting people eternal life.

We call these stories "religion".

Many of us already found it it's just a book - but don't worry, we're at least as sane as theists.

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

Read The God Delusion, understand what religion is, and be freed from it forever.

You don't find out, that's the key, you are never disappointed. I am a Christian, but I have learned that life is only life and death is death. When you die, nothing magical happens. Your body stays, even if you went to a place called Heaven, you can't see, hear, or touch anyone else. Same with Hell, you can't feel brimstone and fire with no body.

The Bible is a book written by very smart men. I think it is quite necessary for society. We would be great if everyone followed it, which is the point, the more people follow it the longer civilization will last.

Contrary to what you have undoubtedly been told, the Bible says when you die, you rest as in sleep. There is no thought, no wisdom, no feeling of pain or pleasure, just rest. (Eccles. 9: 5, 6, 10)

We have hope of a ressurection to life. A small number to heavenly life but a far greater number to an earthly paradise to fulfill God's original purpose for man and earth in the Garden of Eden.

You are very wrong on your conclusive statements . Is it bad to be good. The bible teaches good things and good manners to obey God and have faith in him and it teaches to be a good citizen and have respect to parents and elders. Is it false to be good. Use your heart and mind little boy. Read the bible so that you know what you are saying and will not conclude on something that is not proper.

Love God. Because real love for God is sweeter than all the things of the world. God loves us so much in His infinite love that any suffering that we go through is suffering to Him. The good news is that we have a free will and can choose whether to love God or not. He doesn't force us to love Him, but if we choose so, He rewards us beyond any expectation. All doubts are implanted by the cunning one (Satan). Just pray to God like in the Gospel: "O Lord, I believe, help my disbelief!" And He will help without any doubt. Pray to Him in your heart and trust Him, and He will not betray you.

I think we go to Heaven or Hell...I'm not Catholic,I don't like that they pray to Mary. She was a nice woman who raised Jesus..but not worthy to pray to.But sometimes those thoughts do come up....is this just a joke?It all comes down if you believe the world happened by chance or by a Amazing creator.
