I spent $200 on a DVD burner and it is fantastic! The clarity is great, you cannot even tell that the copies are copies. However when I put them in any DVD player other than my DVD burning capeable one, they do not burn. This defeats the purpose of me spending that much money to buy one! Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Make sure you burn in "DVD-video" format. (Avoid anything with -VR or +VR, Divx, avi, etc.)

Make sure you finalize the discs.
If that fails, try other brands of media.

You don't specify the format you record, DVD-R/W, +R/W, -RAM?
Many DVD players can't read read-write discs. Some old models can't read DVD+R.
