i does no longer flow so a ways as claiming he by no potential existed. Josephus, who lived 37-one hundred AC writes:"Now there become about this time Jesus, a wise guy, if or not this is lawful to call him a guy; for he turned right into a doer of astounding works, a instructor of such adult men as get carry of the truth with excitement." with the help of the time Josephus had written this,it become lengthy considering that he had stopped preparation Judaism, he by no potential popular Christianity, and lived with the help of the pagan Romans. He had no "non secular" objective to "make up" the existence of Jesus. some argue this source, declaring that the Christians replaced the textual content in favour of Christianity, yet no man or woman ever argued that the essence of the passage is ideal - Josephus fairly did element out Jesus, as someone, in his writings.

We are legion. for we are many, which meant that a person could have more then one demonin them. which was why this possessed guy was always tied to soemthing because the demons always made him throw himself to and fro. Anyways, the legion of demons (the legion of doom-LOL) also controled the area, like the demon that controls the middle east (the king of persia) (beezelbud), when Jesus cast the demons out, he cast the demonic inflence out of the area, the demons wanted to go into the pigs, now th epigs were used for idol worship sacrifices adn when the deomon tried to possess the pigs, they went crazy and drowned themselves, thus stopping the sacrifice for the mythology gods and goddesses for a while as well. Jesus just came and messed everything up for those who believed int he mythical gods and goddesses in that time period.

No, not JUST wishful thinking. Having cast out a few demons myself in my time, I know such a thing is possible. But using the name Legion, which is meant to indicate large numbers, was quite possibly a dig at the occupiers.

Good point, one I've heard before. But you know Christians, they take everything literally. They think there really was a guy with magic powers, and that demons are real, and that the magician guy made the demons go into a bunch of pigs, which then ran over a cliff into the sea.

Have you ever noticed how similar it is to the story in the Odyssey where Circe turns all of Odysseus' men into pigs?
What a coincidence.

I think you're right on target. Pigs literal/allegorical. He also had a talent for slipping away, through a crowd.
