Yes, it can be addicting. It's easy to get (no grocery shopping or cooking involved, fast food is on every corner), and lots of salt and fat which make the food tasty.

Even though your dad is not fat, he can have high blood pressure (b/c of too much salt intake) or high cholesterol which causes heart attacks.

Tell him to go to Subways! Or go grocery shopping for him and make him some healthy meals. Maybe as long as there are some ready-to-eat food in the fridge or freezer, he'll eat that instead of junk!

Best wishes!

Hey Danny, Fast food is so conveneint today it makes stopping in for a quick fix real easy. I live alone and popping into a fast food place is so much easier than going to the store and buying food, going home to prepare it and then sitting alone to eat it. Depending on what he eats there does make a difference. There is alot of salt and fat in the burgers to start with. Keep an eye on him and encourage your Dad to eat in differant places.
I assume, perhaps, he eats when he is not with everyone? Like maybe lunch? Pack him a meal. Why not. Good luck, Kathie

No - the closest medical equivalent is "Fat Bastard." And yes, he will die of a heart attack. So you'd better sort his will out pronto.
