LOTION!! spf if you can. get Jergens, it comes w/ medium or fair skin tone. it works fantastic, i used it and it was noticeable within 2 days. i started getting comments. but you have to apply it evenly and wash your hands after.

Always use some sunscreen even if you are tanning. With spf 15 most people will still get a tan (or burn, depending on their skin). And just remember, changes in skin in anyway, darkening or reddening, is damage. You will start to show premature aging and possible skin cancers over time. Enjoy Panama City!

i mix tanning oil with sun tan lotion. (i rarely burn.... but i tan easily)
you should mix SPF 10 tanning oil with an SPF 15 lotion. i recommend Australian Gold Tanning oil and Neutrogena Tanning Lotion. if you just use the oil you will DEFINATELY burn. ouch! but since you are hard to tan i wouldnt use just lotion. but you need the lotion. Neutrogena has this new thing with heliopex and it protects UVA and UVB rays which is good. after you are done tanning then take a shower in lukewarm water. after you get out if you feel like you burned some then immediately put aloe or something on it so that it will not peel. (i use whole milk mixed with water to help with my sunburns it takes out the redness and is very soothing. you dab it on with a washcloth)
anyway have fun on your trip :)
