Symantec makes PROCOMM software,is there a comparable free one?

Procomm to turn PC into a terminal software by Symantec charges 29.99 or so. Does anyone know of one that is simialr that is FREE.

I suppose that this will depend on your needs. But if you just want to remotely work and share files from another system, I use and like the http://www.logmein.com free version. This allows me to work on the main computer in my network from anywhere with an Internet connection, which also allows me to work through that system on all computers connected to my network as the admin.
